Privacy Policy

We believe in complete privacy. We don't store your videos, your links, or your personal information.

No Data Retention

When you paste an Instagram link into ReelDown, the link is sent directly to our API layer. Our service retrieves the video file stream and forwards it to your browser. The video bytes pass through our systems only long enough to deliver them to you; they are never written to disk permanently, cached, or saved in any database.

No Tracking or Logs

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or user profiling. We don't record what you download, who you download it from, or your IP address. The only rate-limiting mechanism used checks your IP against a temporary, in-memory/KV database on Cloudflare to enforce our rate limit (5 downloads per minute) and immediately forgets it.

Third-Party Services

Since we process public Instagram content, request headers to Instagram CDN are used to pull video files. The CDN provider (Meta/Instagram) may see requests coming from our servers to pull the video content, but they have no visibility into which individual user requested it.
